A Casual Beach Wedding // Port Bolivar, Texas
This was our first Port Bolivar beach wedding and the weather was looking like rain so we weren’t entirely sure what to expect, but let me tell you this would be a beautiful night to remember!
It was about 2:30 when we first arrived and the girls were out for a little bite to eat so we settled photographing the details, and saying hi to friends and family. We knew going into the day that both Bride & Groom were somewhat laid back about all the details, but as the actual day progressed neither one so much as raised their voice once, for this was the day that together with friends and family they would profess their love and be united!
As normal, Andrew split off to shoot the guys, ceremony details, and anything that would take place before the ceremony. Caitlyn stayed with the girls while they finished getting ready. The rest of friends and family had arrived 6:15 and we moved across the bridge to gather for the ceremony. Being right on the beach the wind was certainly a factor, but not ten minutes before the ceremony started the sun peeked through the clouds for the first time that day and golden sunlight spilled all over the beach. Everyone stood and huddled close for the ceremony to hear the words from the officiant as the wind continued to blow. Once time came for the kiss you could feel the tension blow away as the two became one. Congratulations ensued for the newlywed couple, and then we moved to some very fun and personal family photos! We continued to shoot until the sun had all but disappeared. Then we moved back to the pavilion area underneath the beach house while dinner was finalized. However, dancing was already underway.
We danced and danced all that evening, as laughter, toasts, food, and cake was shared between friends and family alike.
Congratulations once again to the newlyweds Mr. & Mrs. Thomas!
