Tanner + Logan

Tanner + Logan

We can NOT say enough about how completely wonderful and nice (SO NICE!) Tanner and Logan are! The beginning of this day was total and complete excitement for me.  As soon as the cameras and equipment were ready we drove to Onstage so Caitlyn could get capture the hair & make-up of Logan and her bridesmaids, but since it was a smaller space I sat in the car in anticipation of what was to come once we got to the church for the ceremony. This church ceremony was absolutely stunning, and the joy between the two families together for this union was felt in every smile.

Silence fell moments before the procession began...

Yay! Class of 2016!

Congratulations Wilson Photography
Seniors of 2016!

YOU GUYS. I got to work with some of the best seniors this year. They were so pretty (or handsome), super smart, funny (Gavin's jokes were the best), and just amazing to work with. I am just so happy for all of them! Here's a few photos from each of their shoots.

The Delay's | Family Portraits

This family is one that will always be near and dear to me. Ben and I were friends back in 2009 and in 2011 when he met his lady Tya we all knew she was the one!

2011 was my breakout year with my photography. I was taking classes at my local community college and looking for anyone who would model for me. So I begged Ben and Tya and they said yes! During that year I had four different photo shoots with them and one was their engagement photos!

Ben and Tya have always been my biggest supporters in photography. I can't think of anyone else (besides my dad) who encouraged and supported my photography as much as they did. They always lifted me up and never tore me down. Both of them consistently told me how I was getting better and growing in photography. They called me their photographer and that made me so proud. I am enternally grateful for their encouragement and motivation. I wouldn't be where I am today without them in my life. That's what a real friend should be. Truthful, encouraging, supportive, and loyal.

This past December I had to go to Lubbock for my grandmothers surgery. Fortunately, Ben and Tya live only an hour away. It was refreshing to get to see them after several years. I suggested that I take their family photos and so we made a plan. Only now they have added a sweet little boy to their family... Yay Roman!

Below are some throwback photos to our 2011 shoots and also their 2015 family photos that I am so proud of.

Thank you for letting me be your photographer and friend!

Beaumont, Tx Portrait Photographer

Second Shooter Surprise!

Hey ya'll! A few months back I had the privilege of being able to help my best friend (and favorite photographer - out with a bridal session. During the session I took a few snaps and subsequently forgot about them. A few days ago, I was searching through all my external hard drive files and found those few snaps. I was blown away by how beautiful they were even though I was on the sidelines. I haven't ever actually had the honor of taking bridals, but I would love to! SO if you are in the Beaumont, TX (or Houston) area I am going to offer a 25% discount for the first two to book bridals with me. Enjoy these sideline photos :)

Big Announcement!

Seasons change and so do we... We grow older, wiser, get married, stay single, have babies, travel the world, start new businesses, etc. The biggest change I have faced recently is marriage and after I got married I had to change my name. Nobody tells you that when you get married that it can be very difficult to change your name. I'm talking social security, drivers license, bank accounts, credit cards, etc. That's not all though, suddenly your name has changed after being the same for 20+ years of your life. It's just suddenly NOT your name anymore and so I had a small identity crisis. I clung to my maiden name for a while after I got married, not knowing what I wanted to do with my photography (and also because identity crisis). After two and a half years and lots of thought, I have now come to a conclusion and changed my name to Wilson Photography.

I previously have gone by C. Cameron Photography (I never could think of anything catchy and clever), but I am announcing officially that I have changed my name and I am now legal! It will not be a hobby anymore, but a real job. I am even training my husband to shoot, edit, and pose so that in the future he will be able to book sessions and help me with large weddings. I have an actual domain name, website, blog, and a thriving Instagram (@thewilsonsphotography)!  I am really excited about this change in our lives and looking forward to getting to be a part of such special times in peoples lives. Thank you to all my family, friends, and clients who have encouraged me and supported me in my growth and also this time of change!

In the spirit of "grand openings" I want to give you $20 off your next shoot if you mention this blog post. Looking forward to capturing, sharing, and enjoying life with all of you :)
